1 Hour French Bread

1 Hour French Bread

Ingredients

Warm Water 1 1/2 Cup
Honey or Agave Nectar 1 Tbsp
Salt 1 1/2 Tsp
Active Dry Yeast 1 1/2 Tbsp
Flour 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 Cups

Directions

  1. In a food processor add the water, honey, salt and yeast.  Let rest for 5 – 10 minutes or until there is a foam on top.

  2. Preheat oven to 425 degrees

  3. Add flour about a cup at a time to the mixture and pulse. Continue adding until the dough is mixed and no longer sticky.

  4. Remove, form and place on a baking sheet. 

    1. The dough can also be stretched out, rolled(like a towel not with a rolling pin) and placed in a loaf pan.

    2. or Separated in to individual rolls, buns or hoagies
  5. Cover with a towel and let rise about 15 minutes

  6. Cut slits in the top and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until a stuck toothpick comes our with no goo.
